About the opportunity | Te whai waahiAs Consenting and Policy Project Manager, you will primarily manage a portfolio of resource consent applications and policy projects for our manufacturing sites, as well as providing support on projects related to water, wastewater, and solid waste.
As a key member of Global Sustainability, you will be responsible for managing strategic consenting processes and timely consent renewals to support a consistent approach to our environmental management and drive for excellence in environmental performance.
Key accountabilities include:Managing resource consent applications and policy projects, including consultants who support these.Providing support to investigations in the water, wastewater, and solid waste areas.Providing leadership and management to Environmental Managers and Site staff with technical expertise and guidance on resource consents and policy projects.This role offers great exposure to work with our sites at a national level and to develop and strengthen key stakeholder relationships.
For this opportunity, you will need to be Auckland, Hamilton, or Christchurch based and be able to travel nationally as required. Please note this is a fixed-term opportunity that will run until December 2026. About you | Moe koeWe are looking for someone with an extensive planning and policy background who is an excellent communicator, comfortable working across a diverse internal and external stakeholder group (such as Environmental Managers, Councils, Iwi, DOC, etc.) and able to build effective and influential relationships.
Ideally, you will have a tertiary qualification in environmental management, science, or engineering field with a sound understanding of environmental management and statutory and regulatory requirements. Knowledge in dairy and water or wastewater processes would be advantageous.
