ABOUT THE ROLE - NGA AHUATANGA O TE TURANGA
This is an awesome opportunity to broaden your experience whilst applying your existing skills and expertise. As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for investigating complaints, monitoring, and enforcing acts, regulations, and by-laws, and providing animal management services.
This role is extremely varied - no two days are the same! It's highly rewarding, and you will be heavily involved with every part of our community doing your best to maintain our high delivery standards. In a typical day you can expect to:
Provide professional, high-quality support for the Council and our community
Collaborate with the team to share information, expertise and achieve positive results
Interact sensitively with people that may be under stress
Investigate complaints, document, and record outcomes
Deal with animals (mostly dogs but often horses, stock, and poultry)
Patrol our many open spaces
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - KEI TE KIMI MATOU I TENEI MOMO TANGATA
You'll need to be prepared to work and travel all over the beautiful district of Taupo on a rostered basis including some on call and afterhours tasks. You will have the ability to work collaboratively with a very motivated group of people. You'll bring a great attitude, flexibility, ability to think quickly, adapt readily and proactively seek the best outcomes.
