This role is based at our Specialty Boards plant in Frankton, Hamilton. The business supplies short run and specialty packaging to customers both locally and nationally.Compliance & EHSR are a vital focus for our business, and we recognise the need to secure top talent to help us ensure our protocols and strategies are constantly at the forefront and being put into best practice at every area of the business. Reporting to the Facility Manager you will be responsible for administering and coordinating various site compliance & EHSR functions for OJI Specialty Boards, developing best practice systems and procedures.You will be primarily responsible for:Maintaining accreditation standards, internal audits, supplier auditsImplementing, maintaining and coordinating all EHSR activitiesManaging the EHSR Improvement PlanTraining and developing the EHSR capability on site and to various off-site locationsMaintaining and managing the Quality Management system and certification of ISO 9001Managing all customer complaints and GRNsMaintaining site compliance to all council regulations and legislation and OJI Fibre Solutions policies and proceduresAll associated reportingWHAT YOU NEED:3+ years hands-on EHSR/Compliance experience within a medium to large manufacturing business.Sound EHSR knowledge of legislative requirements.Experience with Environmental Improvement Plans; Risk Continuation, Occupational Health and Safety, Process Safety, Emergency Preparedness and Site SecurityEH&S Certificate Level 3 minimum requirement or relevant tertiary qualification ideal.Passion for safety, innate leadership ability, and drive for change.Ability to influence people and communicate with a wide range of peopleStrong attention to detail, time management skills, and analyticalExperience with quality and compliance systems.Ability to travel to off sites and conferences throughout the yearWHAT WE OFFER:A positive, supportive and professional work environmentA competitive salary in accordance with your qualifications and experience7.5% Superannuation including Medical Insurance, Life Insurance and Income Protection InsuranceCar parkingAPPLY ONLINE TODAY.Only candidates legally entitled to work in NZ will be considered.We don't always work to fixed closing dates and may start considering applications as they are received so we encourage you to apply early.In accordance with Company Policy the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, drug test and police check.
