About the role | Mo te turanga mahi As a Competence Assessment Advisor you will apply your exceptional organisational skills and clear, concise communication to support and advise participants in the competence assessment process. You will play a crucial role in supporting and encouraging all engineers, Emerging Professionals and Members, to gain recognition through the Engineering New Zealand competence assessment process. Main duties will involve: Responding to queries from engineers regarding the assessment process and/or their applications. Verifying assessments and providing feedback to applicants. Coordinating assessment panels. Participating in seminars and presentations to explain the assessment framework. Providing administration support for the Competency Assessment Board. Nga tino Pukenga/Wheako – Desired skills and experience: Confidence to address difficult queries while staying composed and diffusing challenging situations. Strong verbal and written communicator with excellent presentation, relationship management and influencing skills. Experienced in analysing complex issues and providing concise, balanced advice. Highly organised and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks. A tertiary qualification in a relevant area, or equivalent proven experience. Knowledge of engineering and technology and/or previous experience working in a similar environment would be advantageous.
