Community Nurse

About The Organisation:  This vibrant and super fun community nursing team is actively committed to promoting choice, control, and quality of life for their elderly and disability clients through consistent, person-centred care.
This role will allow dedicated nurses to use their clinical experience, problem-solving skills, and holistic approach in the community setting.
Training and a supportive buddy system are offered to new nurses entering the community sector.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care and health assessments to patients in their homes.
Collaborate with the Community Nurse Manager and engage with stakeholders.
Provide comprehensive nursing care and individualised care planning for community-based clients.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and guidelines Support client independence throughout their healthcare journey.
Mentor and educate Support Workers.
Conduct Client Risk and Hazard Assessments to mitigate risks for clients and employees.
Support and educate junior registered nurses.
Qualifications: Current New Zealand Registered Nurse with a practicing certificate.
Strong assessment and communication skills.
Demonstrated clinical experience in the community disability and/or the aged care sector that aligns advantageous.
Experience in community nursing or home health is preferred, but not essential.
A compassionate approach to patient care and an ability to work independently.
Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand without sponsorship.
