Community Development (Community Services & Development)Heart of the Bays is a community-based charity run by a board of volunteers who are passionate about improving the quality of life for the Bays residents. We want to find someone who can help us strategically develop our mission statement, forge new relationships, and strengthen existing partnerships to ensure strong and effective community collaboration.The successful applicant will participate in helping to shape outcomes and develop key areas of focus to deliver the best outcomes for the community.Key responsibilities:Maintain and develop great relationships with the residents, council, and other community organisationsBe the back-up and support for the Community Centre ManagerDevelop programs that are in line with our strategic plan and serve our diverse communityRegularly report to our BoardSource and complete funding applications to finance projects and eventsPromote and support activities that encourage collaboration with other organisations within our communityAdministration and reportsContinue to grow and maintain the Heart of the Bays digital presence and communications, including our social media, newsletters, and websiteAbout you:The successful applicant will:Be an engaging, intuitive communicator, both in person and in writing – someone who can easily adapt to fit their audienceBe organised, an excellent planner, with solid admin skills and attention to detailBe proficient with social media, website content and digital newslettersBe someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of our community, embrace working with diverse groups, and have a sense of funBe able to show how they have developed strong and mutually beneficial relationships across a diverse network of groupsHave experience navigating diversity in past rolesIdeally have prior experience in a community-based roleThis role requires a gentle hand but a firm grasp on delivering the core outcomes of this charity and the needs of our community.More about Heart of the Bays:We're a small charity, with a committed board who truly hold our community at the heart of our work.
