Do you work relationally and inclusively in your approach to communications? This is your opportunity to work remotely, full or part time, in a newly created Communications and Engagement Lead role. You will be part of a dedicated Te Tiriti-led primary prevention workforce working remotely across the region, driving and supporting systems change for the prevention of family violence and sexual violence across Te Tauihu.
About the Role As a Communications and Engagement Lead within the Hikitia! community-led prevention initiative, your experience and skills creating communications and engagement plans will enable collaborative efforts across Te Tauihu to drive effective change, transforming how we prevent and respond to family and sexual violence. Your ability to develop collateral and creative assets to support and magnify the work will be vital for the team to be able to communicate and engage with diverse groups.

What You Will Bring The ability to be relational and inclusive in your work with others.
A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the importance of indigenous leadership in driving social change.
A passion for working and learning in an emerging field dedicated to preventing family violence and sexual violence before it occurs.
A tertiary qualification in media, communications and/or related fields and/or other storytelling methodologies (highly desirable).
Ability to draw on and communicate a diverse range of evidence and knowledge relevant to primary prevention, including matauranga Maori.
An understanding of the prevalence, drivers, risk and protective factors, and impacts of family violence and sexual violence, or a willingness to learn and develop on the job.
Demonstrable understanding or experience of working to support and/or promote Maori aspirations.
Demonstrated experience of the ability to communicate clearly in various mediums for diverse audiences.
Ability to communicate key messages to diverse communities and audiences in simple, inclusive, and engaging ways (e.g., community members, government officials, business, sport, education, local government, and community leaders).
Experience managing websites, social media, electronic direct mailouts (EDMs), digital media channels, and Google Analytics.

FTE Salary Range: $70,000 - $82,400 (plus KiwiSaver contribution)
