Alpha Personnel Recruitment Ltd – Auckland, North IslandThis is a rare permanent opportunity for a driven Commodity Trader to work with our client who is a market leader in the importation and distribution for the largest beverage and food manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand.This role will be based in Mount Eden and they are looking for someone with great energy, is personable, has precision with numbers, and the attention to detail to understand margins.The role, in a nutshell:Trading between global suppliers and major food and beverage manufacturers in Australia and New ZealandMarket research, other work within the group as directed by managementLiaising with procurement managers and global suppliers to ensure continuous supplyWeekly reporting, domestic and international travel is required, new business developmentTo be successful in the role:5 years + experience in international trade, export/import sales, commodity trading or B2B salesNetworks within the agri-food industry would be advantageousAbility to communicate effectively in English – both verbal and writtenAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, costing and budgetingStrong time-management skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability.Can work methodically under pressure and with multiple tasks and deadlinesWillingness and ability to travel to serve international clients and suppliersYou must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role and have a valid passport to travel overseas for training.
