We are one of the largest finance companies operating in the New Zealand market.We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Southern Sales team based in Dunedin.Primary Role:Develop, maintain and grow a customer portfolio with sustainable long-term client relationships which meet UDC's objectives for revenue and credit qualityOperate within a defined territoryMaintain an in-depth knowledge of all core UDC products and new offeringsWork collaboratively with other internal stakeholdersEnsure UDC's standards of compliance and operational excellence are maintainedResponsible for identifying new business opportunities for both new and existing customersYour experience:Portfolio complexity requires a seasoned professional typically someone with at least 3-5 years' experience.Presents strongly and confidently in a public situation.Our customers are all 'can do' small to medium sized business owners; so we're looking for someone who can relate to and work with such people.Ability to analyse financial accounts, budget and cash-flow requirements. Has the experience and know-how to evaluate return on investment.Ability to identify the early warning signals of deteriorating business and work with Regional Manager & Lending Support to ensure an active management plan is implemented with clients.Able to develop strong relationships with clients through high dependency on remote contact.Excellent solution selling skills.Able to link product features and benefits to customer needs when presenting a proposal to a customer.We are proud of our heritage, but focused on future growth alongside our customers' success.
