PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
You will be the go-to person for all things revenue related, collaborating with the business and teams across multiple agencies. You will be the expert on our policies and SOX framework as well as chief investigator for all billings and invoice related queries. You will partner with leaders in our business to turn data into insights for reporting purposes.
KEY STAKEHOLDERS:
Commercial finance team, client leadership team, account service teams, investment teams and global compliance teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Adherence to revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS, agency policy, SOX policy and client contracts, including actioning accruals and deferrals.
Use data to prepare quality financial analysis and management reports to support informed decision making.
Ensure all prebills are reconciled and invoices are correctly offset against prebills where relevant (no overdue invoices due to prebills).
Assist commercial manager and finance director with quarterly rolling forecasts.
Responsible for revenue recognition for project work. Ensure all jobs are up-to-date and reconciled on a timely basis in accordance with group policies.
Assist during internal and external client audits.
Compliance of client unbilled media refunds, management of the calendar.
Ad-hoc client reporting for global client teams for compliance.
Assist financial reporting team with revenue insights and monthly revenue analysis.
Coordinate and finalise all necessary month end reports i.e. Credit Note Summary, Invoice Summary.
Support the forecasting and budgeting processes for the group and its agencies.
Quarterly client profitability reporting for our agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
2 years' experience in a finance/accounting role with a sound understanding of revenue recognition criteria.
A Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
Experience in digital or media would be a huge asset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
