South Canterbury Museum is seeking a Collections Project Officer to work closely with the Museum Director to review and refine our activity plan focused on cataloguing, organizing, and digitally imaging our unique paleontology and invertebrate collections. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about natural history, museum collections, and digital archiving.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills, demonstrate both effective teamwork and the ability to work independently, and exhibit excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. They should be highly self-motivated, taking a proactive approach to seeking assistance when needed. Experience with digital photography and knowledge of New Zealand's natural history and museum collections are also desirable.
This is a 26 weeks fixed-term role and offers 30 hours per week. No weekend hours are required. The hourly rate for this role is $27.80.
