Job DescriptionSGS New Zealand is looking to boost its talented team by filling the following position: Coatings Inspector in ChristchurchWe are looking for a Certified Coatings Inspector to join our team to fill a fulltime permanent role working in our NDT & Materials Engineering facility in Christchurch.Our client base is extensive, and we operate in all major industrial groups from dairy, power generation, oil and gas, chemical, pulp and paper process plants through to constructions, building and light engineering.
Key Responsibilities:carry out general coatings inspections in accordance with relevant codes and standards to ensure our client requirements are met.
Testing on a variety of products and components including metals, plastics, construction and building materials.Provide consultancy services to assist our clients with their technical challenges and maintenance.QualificationsIf you have the below qualities we are interested to hear from you:Minimum Level 2 certified coatings inspector (AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector Level 2, NACE CIP Level 2, SSPC PCI Level 2 certification or equivalent)Minimum 5 years practical work experience in Coatings inspectionsNDT and welding inspection certifications and experience are beneficial to this roleCustomer and client service focus.A current driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites around NZ.Able to use computers and technology.Able to work well with others in a team environment.
