About the role
As Cluster Finance Manager, NZ, you will be responsible for the delivery of accounting and financial requirements for the Hotel in an environment of tight control. The incumbent will maintain a smooth day-to-day operation of the Cluster Finance functions covering all towers – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Payroll, and General Ledger. Additionally, you will support the preparation of month-end financial closing and reports, ensuring compliance with Hilton Hotels accounting policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Cluster Director of Finance, NZ, you will provide support to the Cluster Director of Finance and Hotel Finance Leaders as may be required from time to time, including leave cover.
What will I be doing?
Team members management and coordination Oversees and conducts, where required, thorough training of team members, including induction and ongoing training to include all brand standard training, nominates departmental trainers and ensures their ongoing effectiveness.
Actively develops team member's skills and behaviors. Supports and administers rotation process and succession planning within the team.
Actively manage team members to include coordination of departmental leave and organize coverage of position during the team member absence.
Finance and Accounting Operations Effectively manages the daily revenue, payroll and expense reporting process in a timely and accurate manner.
Be responsible for management and support of the month-end procedures for the cluster supported roles across the various entities to ensure completeness, accuracy of result, and timely submission.
Be responsible for delivery of balance sheets reconciliation to include their preparation and review, ensure fair reflection of the assets and liabilities of the various entities.
Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with Hilton Hotels Corporation Policy, compliance with owner, statutory and fiscal requirements and timetables.
Assists in maintaining a focused system of internal controls, which will provide an effective and efficient control over the hotel's assets, liabilities, revenues and costs.
Ensures compliance with legal and taxation legislation.
To successfully fill this role, you will have the attitude, behaviours and values including:
One year (minimum) as Finance Manager or similar managerial role
Strong computer skills including Excel and accounting systems
A friendly and outgoing personality with a proactive, "can do" approach
Well organised and methodical skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Good planning and prioritising skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Flexibility as a team player with good communication skills
Results oriented and good negotiation instincts
Strong numeracy and communications skills
