The Principal Cloud Solutions Architect works with colleagues and clients within highly complex information technology environments. They provide multi-technology consulting services to clients to analyse and provide strategies and solutions on all aspects of application software, infrastructure and related technology components. They advise and execute on the best design for information technology architectures. Their primary objective is to ensure the optimal functioning of an entity’s IT application software and Cloud infrastructure by outlining solutions architecture descriptions across domains, functions, and industries, then monitoring and governing the implementation. This employee design and communicate high level structure to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs. Working at NTT What will you do as a Cloud Architect Consultant? Work in Cloud Transformation engagements with customers, helping them overcome Cloud Architecture, Governance, Security and Application Lifecycle challenges in their Cloud Adoption. Work closely with the client and our Cloud Experts team, understanding customer needs, driving and managing Cloud Consultancy engagements, and producing results that help our clients in their Cloud adoption journey. Ensure that the customer experience with NTT is the best possible and try always to over-perform on the customer expectations in terms of quality of the results. Keep tracking of Cloud Transformation engagements and have regular follow-up meetings with clients where we provide continuous support and guidance services. Understand the client’s situation, both about its team and its business, to ensure a personalized service. Identify and propose continuous improvements that help us upgrade our consulting assets (templates, checklists, reports, audit sheets, etc.) and meet our clients requirements. And of course, implement them. Support pre-sales in preparing Cloud Transformation proposals and presentations as needed. Work together with Cloud vendors chasing new opportunities and identifying ways for facilitating Cloud adoption to our prospects. Learn through ongoing training by the company in multiple technologies: network, databases, operating systems, clustering etc Engage with the sales and technical department whenever it is required. You will fit in if …. You have great architecture design skills and in-depth technical knowledge of traditional and Cloud hosting infrastructures. You are tech-oriented, but you also love communication and strategy. You love dealing with clients and companies. You are fluent in English You know how to properly express yourself writing and speaking in front of different audiences. You want to work with the latest technologies and trends: public and hybrid Cloud, DevOps, etc. Essentials: Full Stack Engineering capable (Site Reliability Engineering background) Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud components, services & architectures Certification or suitable experience in one of the major Hyperscale’s Knowledge about Linux and Windows OS, application middleware and databases Knowledge of Information Security & IT Service Management ITIL and Agile knowledge or certification Key Responsibilities Build peer relationships with client stakeholders including; IT Director, Head of Digital, Head of Application Development, Chief or Enterprise Architecture and similar. Act as Cloud technology owner for the client, assigned to work with them for x days per month. Understand the client business and align this to NTT capabilities and Cloud Provider services. Help the client evaluate new requirements including assisting with proof of concepts and consulting to establish high level designs. Conduct cloud awareness sessions with the Client including periodic updates of new features. Execute delivery engagements, based on NTT standards, including Well Architected Governance Blueprints, Cloud Transformation Planning, Cloud Training. Providing SME knowledge and expertise during workshops (whiteboarding, presenting and evaluating alternatives, designing solutions). SME areas may include AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Containerization, Software Delivery Lifecycle, Application Modernization, Cloud Architecture, Governance, Security, DevOps, Data, Machine Learning. What will make you a good fit for the role? 3+ years previous experience in an architecture or consulting services role and or working with a Public Cloud Managed Service Partner or Cloud Provider. Strong understanding of Configuration Management using tools such as Chef (preferred), Ansible or Puppet Strong understanding of CI/CD with working knowledge of process and toolsets Strong understanding of Cloud market; AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud including key features such as compute, network, storage, security, databases, integration, data analytics and machine learning. Strong understanding of application middleware; Microsoft stack, open source including web, application and database technologies. Strong understanding of transformation approaches including 6Rs.
