You'll be working regular hours within a close-knit local team, while also being part of a larger, collaborative organization.About Us:Research Ltd is a leading clinical trials company, undertaking important and innovative clinical trials for national and international pharmaceutical companies. With a network of eight clinical trial sites across New Zealand (Wellington, Tauranga, Hawke's Bay, Kapiti Coast, Palmerston North, Lower Hutt, Dunedin, and Pukekohe, Auckland), we are committed to delivering excellence in research and patient care. We are the NZ arm of Momentum Clinical Research, which also operates six sites across Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane).Our site in Pukekohe is a relatively new unit, having been operational for 3 months, and we are already conducting trials in a variety of exciting therapeutic areas, including vaccines, coeliac disease amongst others. With plans for significant growth, we expect an increase in the number of clinical trials and the size of our team in the coming months and years.Your Role:As a Clinical Research Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, leading a dedicated team of study coordinators and research nurses. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of clinical trials, managing study protocols, liaising with external partners, and maintaining high standards of patient care and data integrity.In addition to managerial duties, you will also function as a study coordinator, coordinating trial-related activities, managing patient recruitment, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. This role offers a unique blend of leadership and hands-on involvement in clinical research.You will receive support and guidance from the NZ Operations Manager and General Manager, as well as regular opportunities to collaborate with other Unit Managers across the eight sites. This collaborative environment ensures you are part of a well-integrated and forward-thinking organization, while still enjoying the close-knit feel of a smaller, local team.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all aspects of the clinical research unit's operations, including recruitment, study management, and team coordination.Oversee the delivery of clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, clinical protocols, and quality standards.Manage and support a team of study coordinators/research nurses.Foster strong relationships with patients, sponsors, and clinical trial partners.Coordinate the scheduling, documentation, and reporting of clinical trial activities.Provide leadership and training to staff, contributing to their professional development.What We're Looking For:Registered Nurse with several years of experience in clinical research.Experience as a Study Coordinator or Clinical Research Nurse is essential.Previous management experience is highly desirable.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.A high level of computer literacy, including proficiency with web-based databases and clinical trial management systems.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.A collaborative team player with a passion for clinical research and patient care.What We Offer:Full-time (36-40 hours per week) role in a forward-thinking, supportive team.The opportunity to be part of a respected and expanding clinical trials network.Exposure to a variety of therapeutic areas and the chance to make a tangible impact on the future of healthcare.A competitive salary and the opportunity for career progression as the unit grows.A newly refurbished outpatient facility in a great location with a dynamic and welcoming team.If you are ready to take your clinical research career to the next level and make a real difference in the world of medical advancements, we encourage you to apply!How to Apply:Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are interested in this exciting opportunity.
