MICAMHS (Maternal Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) Tauranga is committed to implementing high standard models of treatment, as well as the necessary training and ongoing supervision that such pathways require.
Tauranga MICAMHS delivers an Incredible Years Specialist Service. We also are part of a robust eating disorders service that delivers best practice models of care including Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Adolescent Focussed Therapy (AFT). We have an ongoing professional development and supervisory relationship with the New Zealand Eating Disorders Clinic. MICMAHS Tauranga has also implementing a Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) intensive programme for adolescents in the BOPDHB area. There are DHB wide forums for psychologists and psychiatrists to network and share professional development opportunities.
Tauranga enjoys some of the highest sunshine hours per year in NZ, and has beautiful beaches and bushland for all the outdoor activities you could ever want to do.
