Clinical Psychologist - Community Alcohol and Drug Service Job Number: WAI28207 Where you'll be working: He Toa Takitini, 193 London Street, Hamilton The details: Permanent – part time 20 hours per week Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical psychologist within the Community Alcohol and other Drugs Service (CADS). In this role, you will work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for completing psychological assessments, therapy and supporting a recovery-based journey through the service for tangata whaiora and their whanau. The CADS teams work with adult tangata whaiora presenting with moderate to severe and complex substance dependency. We aim to do this is in a culture of caring – for each other: ourselves, tangata whaiora, their whanau and communities, and our sector partners. Our team works collaboratively with our Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Waikato colleagues and across the Rohe to achieve results for our Tangata whaiora, while continuously learning and developing our own skills. The successful applicant will need good psychological skills and knowledge alongside the ability to work within teams and systems. We are looking for someone who can provide a range of interventions both on a one-to-one and group basis from a trauma-informed practice. You will also need to be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
