About the Role Are you a senior, experienced Mental Health Nurse with proven acute clinical leadership and systems management skills? This is an exciting opportunity to lead patient care and staff development. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to work as the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Te Puna Waiora, our acute inpatient unit. This involves working with individuals with high & complex needs, case managing, discharge co-ordination, comprehensive assessments, and supporting the Nurse Educator for MHAS in co-ordinating and delivering education sessions for staff.
About You Preferred candidates will demonstrate a confident, sound clinical foundation together with a motivational leadership style able to build a cohesive nursing and allied health team. Other characteristics will include enthusiasm to embrace new ideas and 'outside-the-square' thinking towards service delivery. Candidates must have a current and valid Annual Practising Certificate with NZ Nursing Council as well as a NZ Drivers licence, and relevant PG Education; have or be working towards Expert PDRP.
