We are a private tertiary educator (PTE) provider located in central Manukau, Auckland.We seek an experienced and committed educator to support Internationally Qualified Nurses on their NCAP journey.You will join a team supporting classroom teaching and IQN students whilst on placement.This role will see you working across the Auckland region supporting nurses on the NCAP programme.Mo te tunga | About the roleThe NCAP CNE is working within a team, dedicated to promoting clinical excellence and evidence-based professional nursing practice. This role involves providing education and support to NCAP learners, clinical preceptors, and clinical nurse managers, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and quality improvement to maintain a high standard of clinical care. You will act as a liaison between the theoretical and clinical settings, helping to bridge the gap between theory and practice.Work closely with clinical placement providers, and enrolled IQNs, to ensure successful outcomes to meet required competencies to gain registration.Assessment of NCAP learners against the Nursing Council of New Zealand competencies and domains of practice.Report competency assessment outcomes to the NCAP Programme Manager in a timely and prescribed manner.Provide practical and well-being support to enrolled NCAP learners.Skills and experienceWe are eager to hear from New Zealand Registered Nurses who have a minimum of three years post-registration clinical experience and NZ mentoring experience.Proven background in clinical leadership, along with a thorough knowledge of best practice, medical terminology, and clinical procedures.Skilled in serving as an expert education resource for staff and learners in the clinical setting and a willingness to assist in class/lab sessions.Qualification in adult teaching or unit standards workplace assessor training with teaching or mentoring experience.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong attention to detail.Deep understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and their implementation across the health and disability system.If you are interested in this position, please apply now with your CV and cover letter.
