We do this by designing, coordinating and delivering services that bring innovation and greater effectiveness to health and social programmes.NHC is a Maori-led and culturally driven organisation that supports solutions for all whanau, especially those communities that are not well served by existing services.The role: Reporting to the Practice Manager (operationally), with clinical oversight from the NHC National Clinical Director (and support from the wider NHC Clinical Team), the Toi Whanau Health Clinical Director role is to provide clinical directorship and leadership over the direct-to-patient primary care, patient interventions, and treatment both within the medical practice and via our online virtual care services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.The Clinical Director is expected to work at the top of scope and must be open to our services delivering care in new and modern ways. Care provided will be whanau-centric, culturally appropriate, and evidence-based.The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing clinical standards, supporting and mentoring medical staff, and ensuring that clinical practices align with current guidelines, regulations, and best practices. The Clinical Director will lead the development of clinical governance systems and processes and ensure the active participation of all kaimahi within the practice.This role involves driving continuous improvement in patient care, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for the healthcare team, and contributing to the strategic development of the practice. To serve as an advocate and voice of equity and strive to respond to the needs of our priority populations, with a particular focus on whanau Maori.Additionally, the Clinical Director plays a key role in managing complex cases, providing expert advice, and ensuring that the practice meets its obligations under New Zealand's healthcare system, including adherence to ethical standards and patient safety protocols.About you: We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with sound clinical and interpersonal skills who is passionate about health equity and supporting a team to deliver this.
