About the opportunities
The focus of these Clinical Coordinator roles is to provide support to the unit manager by taking on
delegated leadership and operational tasks for the team. You will be working collaboratively with all
health professionals within the wider multi-disciplinary team throughout the DHB in a way that is
consistent with the Organisation’s vision and values. This will ultimately benefit all our patients and
communities.
You will provide day to day clinical leadership and coordination to all of the Allied Health professionals
within either the Acute or Community clinical team. Through coordinating and implementing best
practice principles, developing and sustaining constructive relationships that enhance your ability to
influence, and by modelling a partnership approach with all stakeholders you will ensure smooth day-
to-day running of staff and resources within your designated area of responsibility.

About you
You will be natural, confident leaders who lead from the front and by example. Naturally a glass half full
person, you will be an adept problem solver, with the flexibility and confidence to make sound clinical
and leadership decisions on your feet. Your clinical credibility in your allied health profession will be
complemented by your advanced communication skills; you’ll be a natural at building successful
working relationships, and have proven experience in de-escalation and conflict resolution. You will
need to be a registered and experienced Allied Health Professional well versed in managing resources
with an in-depth understanding of delivering sound clinical work through motivating others and have an
understanding of the roles of each of the allied health professions within the clinical areas of practice.
