Classroom Teacher Y2–3 For 2025

Full time, Permanent No experience required We are seeking an applicant for a permanent teaching position for our Y2–3 class for 2025. Te Kura o Hau Karetu is a small school with an incredibly supportive community. Our vision is "Whakamanahia nga akonga katoa – Uplifting the mana of all our learners." We endeavour to do this by inclusion of diversity, and as well, Te Ao Maori is very important to us. We are looking for someone who has a high level of competence in teaching junior aged children, including being experienced in managing children with diverse learning needs. We have been on the structured literacy journey for a couple of years with IDEAL, and would require you to participate in our structured literacy programme and ongoing PLD. If you are new to the structured literacy journey, we will provide you with PLD. As 65% of our students are Maori, we wish to honour those students by supporting them to learn in a Maori way and would appreciate an applicant who is happy to continue their te reo learning journey.
