Civil Structures Project Manager – Christchurch, New Zealand This leading New Zealand civil contractor is renowned for their expertise and excellence in delivering complex heavy civil projects. With a commitment to innovation and sustainability, they take pride in shaping the infrastructure of tomorrow. They are seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead our dynamic team in managing and delivering a variety of challenging projects in and around the Christchurch region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience with a civil contractor, focusing on bridges, dams, water treatment plants, and other concrete-based heavy civil projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil projects from inception to completion Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure successful project outcomes Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project teams to optimize performance and achieve project goals Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of experience with a civil contractor, focusing on bridges, dams, water treatment plants, and other concrete-based heavy civil projects Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within budget and schedule constraints Strong understanding of project management methodologies, contract administration, and construction processes Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is preferred Competitive salary package commensurate with experience including vehicle, relocation and immigration assistance Opportunities for career advancement and professional development Collaborative and supportive work environment Exposure to cutting-edge projects and technologies shaping the future of infrastructure If you are a passionate and driven individual with a proven track record of success in heavy civil project management, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
