This premier multiple award-winning Christchurch based civil contractor operates in Christchurch, Nelson, Blenheim, Wellington and Hamilton.
Specialising in land development, large commercial site works, roading construction and 3 waters projects, they continue to have an enviable forward workload and diverse range of projects.
They are looking for a skilled Project Engineer eager to progress into a Project Manager's role in the near future with mentoring and support provided to make the transition.
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:
Assist in project management of works under your control, project documentation, budget resource management
Liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and local authorities
Provide support to investigate, negotiate and secure new work
Preparation of tenders including price estimation and associated non-price attributes
Take off quantities for tendered and design build or lump sum works
Input into contractor initiated alternative designs or contractor designed works
Provide field set out and testing as required by contract works
Monitor project progress including work in progress and cost to complete and provide corrective action where necessary
Assist in providing month-end financials for claims, support the project manager
