We have precast manufacturing facilities in Hastings and Levin. We are currently building a new indoor precast facility in Irongate, Hastings. Our Civil teams work across the lower North Island, from East Cape to Wellington. The Role: This role is primarily responsible for the operation of plant equipment used in civil projects. As a civil plant operator, you are responsible for the safety and efficiently of the plant equipment and ensure that is it properly maintained. The role includes working in a team environment, either supervised or supervising, or working independently, dependent on the scope of the project you are assigned to. Your Responsibilities: Operating Cranes, Excavators, trucks or specialized piling equipment and other mobile machines or vehicles according to level of experience and license's held Comply with safe operating procedures and best practices for the machinery. Assist with or complete site set out duties as instructed by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. The Requirements: The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry and will also have the following skills: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Reasonable knowledge and understanding of plant and machinery used in civil construction. Valid driver's license. Ideally you would have WTR, Rigging and Dogging certificate, Forklift licence. Travel will be required. Applicants for the position will need to be legally allowed to work in NZ. What can we do for you? Pay rate will be $32 - $38 based on your skill level and experience, with a minimum of 47.5 hours. Travel and meal allowance, if working outside of Hawkes Bay.
