E Tipu E Rea is a Ngati Paoa Iwi Trust-supported health and social service dedicated to empowering young parents during the crucial first 2,000 days of life. Our vision is clear: "Supporting hapu mama, matua taiohi, their whanau and pepi to grow, thrive, and be rangatira within their community, whanau, hapu, and iwi."
We are seeking a passionate and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a vital role in our organization. The CFO will work closely with our Finance Manager and accounts coordinator to ensure operational efficiency and safeguard our financial health. This position serves as a key liaison between our CEO and finance team, providing high-level oversight to strengthen our financial operations.
Core Competencies:
Extensive strategic planning experience within a kaupapa Maori/iwi health and social service context.
Proven ability to advise senior management teams and Trustees on financial structures.
Cultural competence and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Experience delivering quality work under tight deadlines.
Strong capability in financial reporting and collaborative teamwork.
Knowledge of government planning, budget cycles, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in finance-related systems (e.g., Xero, payroll, financial reporting tools).
Strategic and analytical thinking with a focus on operational initiatives and process improvements.
Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach.
