We are looking for two Chefs to join our team.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of related work experience OR
At least related NZ Register Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR
The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand AND
Knowledge of Thai food ingredients and cooking technique
Job Descriptions:
Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
Overseeing all kitchen operations.
Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.
Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
Taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
Keeping up to date with industry trends.
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking Asian food
Preparing and cooking Asian food
Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.

This is a full-time and permanent position
Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, and you will be paid weekly
Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
You will be working at 78 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North
We are open for Lunch from Monday to Sunday 11 am – 2 pm and Dinner from Monday to Sunday from 4.30 pm – 9 pm.
You will work according to a roaster with a guarantee of 30 hours each week
