Retail Assistants (Retail & Consumer Products) Full time New World Feilding is looking for a keen and reliable person to join our Checkout Team on a full-time basis.
You'll be overseeing and working in our busy checkout team on the front line and ensuring our customers are receiving outstanding service.
You will be working with a committed and motivated team who pride themselves on the quality produce and service we offer our customers here at New World.
Working with the Checkout team in this busy and customer-focused environment, as a Checkout Supervisor you could expect to be: Working with the Checkout Manager and other Supervisors to arrange the daily operation of the checkout department including team members' breaks Serving customers in a warm and welcoming way Supervising Self Serve Checkouts Dealing with cash and payment transactions Enforcing legislation around the sale of age-restricted goods Operating a Checkout Processing lotto transactions Resolving customer complaints Ensuring all transactions are processed correctly Ensuring all cleaning is completed Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times Here's what you'll need: To be physically fit – you'll be on your feet all day and moving between Checkouts and Supervising Self Checkouts Customer service driven – you'll spend a lot of time helping our customers Have excellent communication skills Be reliable; we are a close team and you'll be missed if you're not here!
