Are you driven to excel, have a passion for apparel or footwear, innovation, involvement with best practices in sustainability and sourcing, and aspire to international leadership by example?Key tasks:Review and update PR plan, from strategic planning to support from research and white papers.Structured publicity for 6 to 12 months around 12 innovations in business and renewable materials.Craft press releases, pitches, and stories.Build relationships with journalists, influencers, and strategic partners.Execute PR campaigns in NZ and international media, for consumer, sustainability, business, shoe trade, and materials trade sectors.Support spokesperson with media inquiries and interview preparation.Track campaign success, generate media coverage reports.Monitor and report marketing metrics, including visits, relative to publication of PR.Additional tasks:Input to product and marketing planning.Increasingly pro-active PR efforts.Organise media events, manage prospective issues, pre-empt crises.Lead crisis communications.Support internal communications.Maintain projects, jobs, and tasks lists and planning for role.Timesheets and role accountability.Key skills:Media relations tools, such as Cision, Meltwater, or Muck Rack for managing media outreach.Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly in Word for drafting press releases and Excel for media tracking.AI Tools: develop and use for research, improve supporting papers, content creation, media analysis, and optimizing press releases.Content creation tools: Canva, Milanote, or Adobe Spark for creating visual media assets.Social media platforms for public perception monitoring and engagement.Reporting, track media coverage, generate reports, and analyze campaign effectiveness.Other skills:Personable, outgoing, and excellent comprehension of written English, reports, and research.Demonstrable comfort with social media.Knowledge of sustainability-related practices and vernacular.Knowledge of footwear, apparel, and retail.We're looking for an experienced PR person who can amplify Orba's powerful stories and support business objectives.
