Cellar Door Host/Kitchen Assistant

Small Town Winery is a cellar door and wine bar within Astrolabe's functioning urban winery in Blenheim CBD, the largest town in the Marlborough region.
Small Town Winery opened in March 2024 and our team is growing.
We are looking for enthusiastic hospitality professionals to join our team part or full time from October 2024.
You must: Have good wine knowledge (formal wine training such as WSET qualifications will be highly regarded) Have an eye for detail and style as well as a passion for quality food Be confident serving patrons and hosting in depth wine tastings (with full training provided) Be physically fit and able to perform cleaning and set up/close down tasks including moving boxes of wine up to 16kg and furniture Be committed to food safety and general Workplace Health & Safety compliance.
Duties will include: Food preparation Clearing and cleaning dishes and tables Cleaning and preparing the cellar door, outdoor area and bathrooms Wine and drinks service Coffee making Maintaining and restocking retail spaces Hosting wine tastings and providing general customer service.
Previous work or training in wine service or food service is essential and holding a current NZ duty manager certificate will be highly regarded.
