Key Responsibilities/Deliverables FOR OUR PART TIME 28 HRS PER WEEK CATERING ASSISTANT AT THE GEORGE CAFÉ
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of food and ingredients as directed by the Chef or Café Manager.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
Assist with ensuring all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas are clean and organised.
Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage procedures.
Assist with basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing simple dishes, and assembling ingredients.
Dispose of kitchen waste and manage recycling as required.
Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Café Manager.
Qualifications:
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety practices is an advantage.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Comfortable working in a busy and often hot kitchen environment.

Other:
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures at all times.
