Reporting to the Team Coach, our casual roles provide cover for permanent Support Workers. The hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available. We operate 7 days a week.
In this role you will:
Support people in a mental health respite setting, working individually and as part of a team.
Have good people skills and be able to work independently and within a wider team.
Support people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
Attend appointments and advocate for people.
Assist people to connect with their communities.
Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care, or helping with everyday tasks.
This is a casual role where the shift pattern can be as follows:
AM shift – 7.00am to 3.30pm
PM shift – 3.00pm to 11.30pm
Awake shift – 11.00pm to 7.00am
Applicants must hold the Level 4 in Mental Health and Wellbeing Certificate, Psychology, education, sport, and nutrition (preferred).
You must hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence.
You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
