Casual Security Officer (Forklift Licenced)

Casual Security Officer (Forklift Licenced) Port of Tauranga is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team of Security Officers.
During the Cruise Ship Season (October - April), these Officers provide a professional security service which maintains the integrity of our security systems. The position will involve manoeuvring port equipment for cruise ship visits with either a 12T or 16T Forklift, gate security, security inspections, and other responsibilities where required.
The ideal candidate will be flexible to work throughout the week (Monday - Sunday) depending on shipping schedules. Full on-the-job training will be provided.
Security Officers serve to ensure access to operational areas is authorised, and port users are compliant with Port policies and practices. Safety and protection of staff, port users, and property is a priority.
To be successful in your application, you will be:
An experienced forklift operator with an F Endorsement and accompanying OSH Certification
Diligent, observant, and proactive;
Able to engage with people of all different backgrounds;
Confident to work in heavy industrial areas;
Strongly focused on health, safety and the environment;
Presentable and approachable, with a passion for customer service;
A current Driver's License and legal entitlement to work in New Zealand is also required.
The successful candidate will be able to start immediately. As this is a casual position, hours are not guaranteed.
