We currently have a vacancies for casual Residential/Community Support Workers based in our 24/7 7-bed flatting style community Intensive Supported Rehab facility located in Whangarei.
Additional hours will also be available on occasions.
We endeavour to make a real difference for people with mental illness who would otherwise have a long stay in the acute mental health ward but whose special needs can be met in a community/NGO setting with style, innovation and a strengths focus.
The successful applicant will: Have completed the Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions (L4) or equivalent, or equivalent Have a sound knowledge of working with people with mental health and addiction issues and have a recovery and strengths focus Have common sense and ability to work as a member of the team and autonomously Have knowledge of community resources available is highly desirable Have good communication skills; verbal and written Have strong IT skills Have a FULL and clean driver's license- No exceptions as there may be times required to transport clients Have a clear police record Please note we will conduct interviews for suitable candidates as they come to hand.
