Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit Casual LSA's who will be responsible for providing individual and group support for students, and keeping accurate records of support delivered.

Duration: Until 18th July 2025

The successful candidates will be required to possess a CACHE L3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent Level 3 qualification in supporting in the classroom (or to work towards within 1 year), Level 2 in Literacy (GCSE English grade C/4) or above and/or Level 2 in Numeracy (GCSE Maths grade C/4) or above (must have one and be willing to work towards the other within 2 years), and Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks).
It is desirable that the candidates will also possess a Level 2 Equality & Diversity, Level 3 Adult Subject Support, Relevant vocational qualification, Teaching qualification eg PTLLS, Degree, and an IT qualification.
Applicants will also have experience of supporting young people with additional needs. This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
