Ko te kaupapa | About the role
Whanganui hospital has been working hard over the past few years to develop our cardiac service. We've purchased a second machine and secured Cardiologist support for our sonographers, successfully trained one sonographer, and are in the process of training a second. We're now looking for someone to help us maintain our momentum while one of our team goes off to have a baby.
Whanganui Radiology is a small, friendly department. Patient care is at the centre of all we do, and a smile goes a long way. You'll be working alongside our other permanent sonographer, providing an inpatient and outpatient service to our community. We have two Phillips Affiniti machines as well as the Phillips IntelliSpace reporting platform.
Ko wai matou | Who are we
Our vision is He Hapori Ora - Thriving Communities, with our mission being 'to improve health and independence through a responsive and integrated health system'. We ensure health care places people and their whanau at the centre of everything we do with and for them. We support and empower individuals and whanau to determine their own wellbeing and are committed to working in authentic partnership with other health care providers, iwi, government, social and community agencies to build strong, resilient, connected people and whanau.
