Great Opportunity to join a well-established company and leader in their industry.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Moving carcasses to freezers and chillers
Packing and loading meat
Meat processing, cutting, trimming, deboning, grinding, mincing and shaping
Completing quality checks as required and follow production guidelines and specifications
Shape, lace and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer and tine
Operating machines to mince, grind and tenderize meat
Wash down processing rooms
Working as a team to meet production targets
Create or acquire labels for each packet by ensuring that type, date of expiry and weight is mentioned
Maintain machinery and other equipment such as knives
Performing other processing tasks as assigned.
Other butcher tasks as required
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years Butchery experience or equivalent of a NZ Cert in Meat Processing
Able to work with various types of meat
Team Player
Physically Fit
Working on your feet and conducting repetitive movement
Competitive Rate
Hours: Full week, 40 or more hours per week.
Must be in New Zealand currently. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
