Business Development Manager | NZ Building Industry $100-115k + Car + Commissions + Plenty of Autonomy This is a newly created role.
Not a start up.
Not a blank canvas.
But with the backing of a large, well established NZ Business.
There are some seriously awesome opportunities that lay ahead.
This is the arm of a well established NZ Owned organisation , who have strong market presence and several decades of success supplying to the building and construction sector nationwide.
Already supplying to a range of clients covering residential and commercial projects, this new role is a core focus on the Aluminium Joinery Solutions for many existing clients, and developing new.
In collaboration with NZ's top hardware supplier, a new division has been created which will see you cross sell with existing customers throughout the wider group (which is going to see you hit the ground running).
Representing a range of Window and Door Hardware Solutions.
Premium products, to the premium market.
This is where you come in..... A snapshot of your day: Responsible for predominantly the entire Auckland region, as well as some travel throughout the North Island.
Representing a range of premium Aluminium Joinery - Windows and Doors, customised solutions to the building industry.
This is a vital role where you are managing key relationships with builders, fabricators and the production team.
(Travel outside of Auckland will be required) This role will see you doing a variety of functions, from product training, understanding the market and ensuring your customers satisfaction through the application of an outstanding portfolio of products, both on-site and new business opportunities.
The goal is to ensure your clients have the technical understanding of the product range as well as identifying what products can be incorporated into new projects and presenting these.
You will need to be familiar and successful working within the building industry, with proven success in business development.
This position will involve a skill of working with intricate detail seeing you working with basic designs and plans, measurements and the building code and a fair understanding of the specification process.
Most relative skillset of experience that will see you really succeed: Experience working within the building industry .
Maybe fabrication, glass, cladding systems or joinery, aluminium, roofing.
Successful Business Development experience , Hunting mentality, where you have developed and driven a portfolio of builders/pm's.
Relationship driven, consultative seller who understands the 'big picture' of projects, the challenges your customers face and the ability to provide a solution (a premium product range).
Personality, sense of humour will suit this team very well.
