Role Overview:

The VP Sales (West Coast) is a member of the global sales team responsible for new client acquisition and key account management within the West Coast of the US; representing our full-service offering (Patents, Trade Marks, IP Services and Strategic IP Solutions. You will work in collaboration with our attorney groups and marketing team to identify, target and close new client opportunities, focused on building rapport, educating clients and prospects, and consultative value-based selling.

Additionally growing existing key accounts through upsell and cross-sell. This role will utilise robust sales skills to "open doors" and then utilise highly skilled and technical attorneys to advance conversations in specialist areas. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, enhancing our market presence, and driving sales performance within our target markets. Experience gained within the legal/professional services sector is preferred, and IP experience would be ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and report on, a strong pipeline
Translate client needs into compelling presentations of our IP solutions, becoming a trusted adviser who understands their challenges and provides the perfect fit
Engage in meaningful conversations, building trust, uncovering needs and presenting the ideal solutions to the right decision makers at the opportune moment
Complete proposals and liaise with internal stakeholders for completion
Foster strong partnerships with internal teams, including marketing, attorneys and operational management, to leverage every resource for maximum impact.
Build lasting relationships with mid to senior legal professionals in large corporates in industries like software, electronics, mechanical and pharma
Represent the company at a variety of external events including client meetings and conferences
About You:
Several years of IP/legal or professional services sales
Generating leads through direct outreach and strategic partnerships is your forte.
Building trust and rapport with clients and partners is your natural strength.
Your influencing skills are second to none
You're a tenacious self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and navigates changing priorities with ease, managing your own schedule to effectively prioritise
You excel in creating synergy and effectively leveraging internal resources to achieve shared goals.
You are an articulate communicator, comfortable presenting solutions, hosting calls, leading meetings and attending events
You embrace metrics and continuously strive to improve your sales effectiveness.
You're passionate about acquiring knowledge and becoming an expert in our niche.
The prospect of travelling throughout the West Coast excites you.
You've ideally used PowerBI and HubSpot before

Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary and uncapped commission scheme
