Branch Service Technician, Whangarei

We need a super star to keep the shop running.There is an opportunity to join our team in sunny Whangarei.About the roleThis role is primarily about assisting with the daily operations of our Branch Service Center and providing a high level of face-to-face customer service for our walk-in customers and mobile sales and service technicians over our "Trade Counter".This is a very busy and varied role, which includesAnswering the phone, taking and keying orders.Manufacturing of hoses for walk-in customers through the hose shop.Picking, packing & sending urgent orders when required.Warehouse work, including stock takes.Assisting our mobile technicians when needed.Understanding and following all Health & Safety practices.Ultimately you also get an opportunity to become a mobile sales & service technician if that is a path you wish to follow.About the personWe are looking for someone with:A good level of literacy (English) and numeric skillsReliable and Team focusedFlexibility for work hours, there is Saturday morning work on a roster basisComputer literate and have an eye for detailA willingness and flexibility to take on tasks and responsibilities "outside the square"Good physical fitness (some heavy lifting is involved)Some mechanical aptitude would be beneficialTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbout the BenefitsA Great TeamAn opportunity to advance and be promoted.Nationally recognised training, NZQA accredited.Good remuneration and bonus.Medical Insurance and subsidised gym membership.About the companyAt Hydraulink we like to keep things moving, it's in our DNA.
