Plant & Machinery Operators (Construction) Full time Are you a skilled operator with a passion for quality and efficiency? Higgins, a leading company in roading and construction, is looking for a Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week and have the flexibility to work additional hours/days during our peak season.
What you'll do: Operate bitumen sprayers and other related machinery efficiently. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, following all relevant regulations, industry best practices, and specifications. Manage bitumen operations including pre-start checks, heating, blending, storage, and production monitoring. Uphold safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment. Assist in plant and machinery maintenance, quality control, and the continuous development of crew skills. What we're looking for: Solid experience in operating heavy machinery, especially bitumen sprayers. A thorough understanding of bitumen handling and associated equipment. Ability to follow plans and schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Relevant licenses (WTR, Class 1-4, Dangerous Goods) are essential, and STMS qualification is a plus.
