Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Christchurch. One of our local mainstream primary schools is seeking a full-time support assistant to work alongside a team to support pupils with challenging needs. To be successful in this role, you will need to be confident in leading small group interventions, and resilience and patience when working with children with additional learning and emotional needs. If you are passionate, experienced and committed to making a positive impact to children's school life, then this role could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Salary: £12.82 per hourStart Date: September/OctoberWorking Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, term-time onlyKey Responsibilities Provide tailored support to students facing emotional and behavioural challenges.Assist teachers in creating and delivering engaging lesson plans.Implement and monitor individual support strategies for students.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to promote student well-being.Requirements Experience working with children, especially those with special needs and behavioural needs.Good communication skills for interacting with students and staff.Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively.Collaborate with teachers and support staff.Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.To be eligible for the Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant role, candidates must: Have the right to work in the UK.Present an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the past two years.Demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.Why Join Us?
