BAS Accountants - Accounting Manager - CHCH My client is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager specializing in Public Practice Accounting to join their dynamic team! As an Accounting Manager in the public practice sector, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the firm's accounting operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of public practice accounting principles.

Responsibilities: Manage and supervise the daily activities of the accounting department, focusing on public practice accounting services such as audit, assurance, and tax preparation.Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of client engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.Review financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents prepared by the team, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy and quality.Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate internal controls to mitigate potential risks.Collaborate with partners and senior management to develop strategies, expand client relationships, and enhance the firm's public practice offerings.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting standards applicable to public practice accounting.Mentor and develop junior staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Build strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and identifying opportunities for additional services.Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and tax advisors as necessary to ensure compliance and successful completion of engagements.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven work experience in a public practice accounting firmThorough knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific guidelines.Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero and MYOBStrong analytical skills, with the ability to review and interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to mentor and motivate a team.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Professional development opportunities, including continuing education and training programs.Work-life balance initiatives, such as flexible work hours and remote work options.A supportive and collaborative work environment that fosters growth and career advancement.Opportunities to work with a diverse range of clients across various industries.Recognition and rewards for exceptional performance and contributions.Participation in company-sponsored social and community events.My client values their employees and strives to provide a positive and rewarding work environment.
