The Bunker Restaurant and Bar – Queenstown, South Island
Here at The Bunker, we offer some of the best bar service and drinks in Queenstown. We pride ourselves on impeccable service and attention to detail while having a great time doing so.
This is a full-time position, offering a minimum of 35 hours per week. This work includes evenings and weekends; therefore, any applicant must be able to work these hours. As we are open late evenings, the majority of shifts will finish in the early hours of the morning. The rate of pay for this position will be $28 - $35 per hour depending on experience.
Skills Required
Cocktail bartending skills are a must for this position. We are looking for people with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. The successful applicant will need to obtain an LCQ qualification; we can support you through this process, but there must be nothing that prohibits you from obtaining this.
We are searching for hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, and charismatic bartenders who love what they do and are proud of what they produce. We have a positive and fun culture and are looking for the right person to assist our manager in delivering the excellent standards of service we are famous for.
Ideal candidates must have experience in a busy, fast-paced environment and have a great command of English.

Key Tasks and Duties
This role primarily prepares, mixes, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers in our venue.
Preparing, serving, and selling cocktails, mixed drinks, bottled, canned, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Ensuring excellent customer service at all times in line with company policies and procedures.
Keeping up to date with our menu.
Cleaning and maintaining bar service areas.
Collecting payment for sales and operating cash registers.
Promoting services and products in accordance with licensing regulations and restrictions.
Understanding the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and ensuring that you are always working in line with this law.
Washing glassware and ensuring the bar is well-stocked at all times.
Selling bar snacks to customers.
Reporting any problems immediately to the Duty Manager.
