Associate Lawyer | Relationship Property

Details of the offer

Associate Lawyer | Relationship Property We are delighted to be partnering with Bramwell Bate for the recruitment of a Relationship Property Associate Lawyer.
One of the most experienced practices in Hawke's Bay, this full-service firm has built an excellent reputation and has solidified its position as a leading law firm in the region. Their team enjoys a benefits package and flexible work environment that mirrors the evolving landscape of the legal profession on a national level.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be tasked with managing and providing legal advice relating to the division of property when a relationship ends. You will also be responsible for drafting and advising on prenuptial agreements, asset planning, and protection; ensuring your clients have clear and concise guidance, in what can be an emotional and difficult time.
The firm is well established in the family and RP space already, so you will have an existing, growing client base from day one.
You will join a team of six specifically working on family and relationship property matters within the firm, and will benefit from a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters professional growth. The current Associates are Lead Legal Aid Providers, and the firm remains committed to providing legal aid services, including within this role, and the fee budget will reflect this.
The role also offers plenty of autonomy to prioritise and manage your workload as you see fit, with flexibility in how you approach your work. With the firms AI-assisted tools supporting your research and streamlining processes, you'll also enjoy an efficient and innovative workplace.

About You:
We are seeking an experienced relationship property lawyer, with at least 6 years of expertise in this area.
While you may come from a general law background, you will bring considerable experience with relationship property matters. Ideally, you will also be well-versed in Family Protection Act claims and trusts, particularly as they pertain to the division of assets.

Additionally, you will have:
Superb drafting skills and technical skills, with exceptional legal knowledge.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a natural advocate and problem solver.
Great client relationship skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain these relationships.
Proven experience in obtaining positive outcomes for your clients, driven by deep motivation and commitment.
A friendly, personable nature; enjoy having a laugh and being part of a team.
Benefits and Perks:
Flexibility on offer with local hybrid work policy + remote working available. This setup has been successfully adopted by current team members, who strongly recommend it and are available to discuss it with you.
Competitive market remuneration package + KiwiSaver + health insurance + phone + laptop
Supportive, fun, and social team that operates with a "trust" based system, leaving you to work independently and autonomously, but providing support and mentoring when needed.
Bramwell Bate and Fluid Recruitment recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion and are committed to providing a working environment that embraces these values. You will be part of a high-performing team who come from an array of backgrounds and bring a diverse range of experiences and perspectives to the workplace.
Opportunities of this calibre rarely become available in the region or nationally, if there's any interest, then we strongly encourage you to apply.
All enquiries are treated with the strictest confidence. To learn about the role in more detail, please contact Chana Pedersen on 022 397 8311 or email ******
