We have a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the team in our Auckland office.
Responsibilities
Work as part of the NZ Corporate team to:
Prepare and update cash forecasts from the business including keeping the SharePoint forecasts up to date for Corporate Treasury.
Maintain the NZ Group's bank guarantees and insurance bonds function.
Prepare payment runs.
Assist with the day-to-day NZ treasury funding movements to ensure we have sufficient funding for all daily payments.
Ensure all payments are authorised and released in a timely manner.
Assist the corporate team with the preparation of month-end results and preparation of reconciliations for key accounts.
Complete other adhoc Head Office finance work as required.
Qualifications
Experience required:
Effective communication skills and able to work in a collaborative manner with all levels of the organisation.
Advanced Excel and pivot tables.
Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Essential to have experience in accounts in a busy, preferably large, organisation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fully integrated team environment.
Passion, drive and enthusiasm, along with the ability to overcome obstacles.
Ability to be innovative and display initiative.
Ability to train and coach others.
