We are searching for an Asset Engineer with energy and enthusiasm to join our Asset Lifecycle team starting with us January 2025. Our network is undergoing rapid growth, which means we have many exciting and rewarding projects happening now and in the future.
As an Asset Engineer, you'll be responsible for the development and implementation of effective asset management strategies for our network, with specific focus on aligning our asset strategies to current industry standards. You will deliver the full range of asset management activities from developing strategic long-term asset fleet strategies including investment forecasts, planning of maintenance and renewals through to the development of technical standards and designs and ensuring delivery of the maintenance and works programme.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Engineer with 3+ years of distribution network experience.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar coupled with professional engineering registration or an intent for the future towards such registration.
A strong drive to make things better and looks for opportunities to improve the current state.
Knowledge of Project Management principles.
Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel and Power BI.
Understand the principles of risk management and investment decision making, and their applications in the context of investment planning.
Calm, professional temperament with the ability to cope in pressured environments, maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and staff during challenging times.
Resilient and tenacious; successfully adapts to changing demands and conditions and looks for opportunities to improve the current state.
Numerate and analytical; highly organized and methodical, makes decisions based on facts and analysis.
Able to work autonomously and being self-driven to produce good quality outcomes in a timely manner.
Exceptional attention to detail.
A good knowledge of applicable legislation and industry guidelines.
