About the role
This is an exciting position for someone who has experience in providing strategic guidance and management of a person-centred support service, to lead and promote the services that are provided to those who live with an intellectual disability as anArea Manager.
This role will support theNelson/Marlboroughregion, and be an integral member of the regional management team. Your approachable and guiding nature will empower staff to feel confident, capable and engaged to be able to deliver consistent high-quality support to people in our community. You will be responsible in promoting IHC services within the community and wider-health networks by driving brand awareness and building a positive reputation, while gaining new business opportunities.
Based in either Nelson or Blenheim, this position will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis. The successful applicant will be provided with a work vehicle that can be used for personal use, attractive remuneration package, and additional employee benefits.
Requirements
Previous experience providing strategic leadership and direction, mentoring and coaching of staff and colleagues.
Ability to plan, implement and produce successful outcomes with the experience of preparing and delivering presentations, effective networking, negotiating, consulting, influencing and facilitation.
Demonstrated commercial acumen and financial management experience.
Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to ensure positive relationships are developed with service users and their families/whanau.
Demonstrated problem solving skills, and an ability to initiate, embrace, drive and manage positive change.
Demonstrated awareness, sensitivity and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi.
