We are seeking an experienced registered health professional to join our Palmerston North Team as an AOD Recovery Practitioner working in a permanent role Monday to Friday. This role can be either full time or part time. You will: Hold a registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act or have a recognised qualification with a current registration and annual practising certificate. (Social Work - Dapaanz - Psychology) Work towards a relevant degree and obtaining DAPAANZ Registration, following the principles of Enabling Good Lives and Whanau Ora. Be culturally responsive and honour Te Tiriti principles of Rangatiratanga. Have a good sense of humour. Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and deliver tailored therapeutic interventions. Have experience working in the mental health and addictions sector or a relatable field, with an understanding of professional boundaries and practice ethics. Understand group dynamics and have experience in facilitating therapeutic groups. Have a thorough understanding and ability to apply motivational interviewing techniques and various counselling modalities.
