Their skilled and compassionate people work closely with service users, their whanau, families and communities, to change lives.
Nova Trust currently manages three treatment and recovery services and two social enterprises.
The Trust is based in Canterbury and operates services from its main site on the outskirts of Christchurch.
The team works with both male and female adult service-users / whai ora, who come from across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Treatment and recovery services are Nova Recovery providing treatment, rehabilitation and supported accommodation for those affected by addiction; Nova STAR to improve the healthand wellbeing of individuals placed underthe Substance Addiction(CompulsoryAssessment and Treatment) Act 2017; and Nova res:pite that offers a supportive, safe and secure environment for service-users to engage in or re-establish their recovery from addiction.
Their two social enterprises are Nova Fresh, a well-established horticulture and farming business and Nova Natives, a nursery enterprise producing an array of native plants, trees and grasses works with commercial customers, communities and partners.
Both enterprises work alongside the treatment and recovery programmes, preparing service-users and tangata whai ora for life beyond treatment, through the development of life and employment skills.

About The Role: The position reports to the Chief Executive and has leadership responsibility and accountability for the development and delivery of Nova's Addiction (Treatment & Recovery) Services, in conjunction with, and support of, the Clinical Services Manager.
As part of the Executive Leadership and Management Team, the AOD Manager contributes to the development and growth of the organisation, working with the CE, Clinical Services Manager, Facilities & Finance Manager, wider management team and the Board, in the effective leadership of the Trust.
With operational responsibility for the effective and efficient management and delivery of contracted AOD services across Nova Trust, you will support the team of case managers, support workers, occupational therapists and nurses to perform at their best, creating a positive and engaging culture.
You will manage quality and compliance requirements for services, negotiate and manage contracts and engage effectively with stakeholders and partners.
The role is Monday to Friday, with some rostered on-call duties.
The role is flexible, suiting either a person looking for a leadership role at 30 hours per week, or a person wanting to work full-time.
You will have: · A tertiary qualification in the AOD Sector (nursing, social work, psychology, case management).
Tertiary/post graduate qualification, training and/or experience in mental health, addiction, or management.
· Professional registration with a relevant professional body – DAPAANZ.
· Excellent people and communication skills, with the abilities to build productive relationships.
· Good financial understanding and skills, with the ability to manage contracts.
· Robust clinical expertise in mental health, AOD or a related field and ability to lead and positively influence service development.
· Ability and willingness to work with diversity and from a bi-cultural perspective.
· Ability to effectively manage your time and tasks and to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
· Personal resilience and be willing to 'go the extra distance'.
· Valid driver's license and entitlement to work in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Previous experience of management in a mental health, AOD or related service and field would be an advantage.
(Prior experience of service delivery and/or management in a residential environment is desirable.)
